I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays..

Hi Lyssa,
No problem, you just need to go to any trusted guitar/music shop in your area. Bring your guitar and give it to a store assistant. The store assistant will then select appropriate sizes that match the sizes of your guitar as well as match to your preferred budget (expensive cases are more durable in terms of quality). So this means, you do not need to buy a new guitar, you just need to get a new case.
For the strings, ask for the store assistant what are their available strings and that depends on the type of your guitar. So that means that if it is a nylon/ classical type acoustic guitar, you should be using a nylon strings. Thanks for visiting my site!

Cheers,
Emerson
