Make your own song

As I have earlier that every flat major scale has accompanying flat minor scale. Also I have discussed previously that to get the minor root note, we have to pitch down 3 full notes.

To begin, as usual we will see the new root notes and triads for the flat minor keys:

Also, we have observed that the notes affected are the same, only the triads and root notes are changed.

Below is the most common key signatures for different flat minor keys:

D minor key signature

G minor key signature

C minor key signature

F minor key signature

B flat minor key signature

Below is a sample music written in Dm. The notes affected is ti, it is not ti flat or la sharp.

It was beautiful, lots of songs are written in D minor. The most popular ones I remember is “Sounds of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel.
